  1. Take a wood beam.
  2. The length, width, thickness, or height of the beam should be measured and written on paper. Then according to the formula, the size of wood beam= length X width X thickness or height has to be found.

How to calculate wood beam size

Suppose the length of a beam = 6 feet, width = 6 inches, thickness or height = 6 inches.

According to the formula: The size of wood beam = length X width X thickness or height.

= 8’-0” X 8” X 6”

= 8’-0” X 8”/12 X 6”/12

= 8’ X 0.67’ X 0.50’

= 2.68 cubic feet

Result: We’ll get 2.68 cubic feet wood from the beam
